- The structure and systems of a sailing yacht
- Fundamentals of seamanship and navigation
- Basics of meteorology
- Safety at sea
- Maritime practice and etiquette
- Sail handling and rope work
- Crew coordination and role distribution
- Maneuvers on the water (mooring, anchoring, tacking, and more)
- Essential onboard duties and practical yacht skills
